This is an Application sent through jail. The Applicant has filed Criminal Appeal No.1315/2023 challenging the judgment and order dated 25.11.2021 passed by the Special Judge, Kolhapur in Special POCSO Case No.48/2018 2.

The Applicant's Appeal i.e. Criminal Appeal No.1315/2023 is already admitted. He had filed Interim Application no.1055/2024 for bail. He was granted bail. The Deshmane(PS)

operative part of the order dated 23.10.2024 mentions that the Applicant be enlarged on bail on furnishing P.R. bond in the sum of Rs.25,000/- with one or two sureties in the like amount.

The Applicant has sent an application through jail wherein he has mentioned that he was unable to get the sureties because he is in custody and there was no one to look after his interest in getting the sureties. He has prayed that he be given sufficient time to furnish the sureties and that in the meantime he may be permitted to furnish cash surety.

The order granting him bail was passed on 23.10.2024. It is a reasoned order. Inspite of that order, he is unable to avail of the bail granted to him because he could not arrange for the sureties. Therefore, in the interest of justice, he can be granted bail on his executing a PR bond only and then he can arrange for the sureties. This facility can be provided to him for a limited period.

Hence, the following order :

:: O R D E R ::

i. The Applicant be released on bail on his executing a P.R. bond in the sum of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand Only).

ii. This concession is made available to the Applicant for a period of eight weeks from today. On the date or before this period gets over, the Applicant shall furnish the sureties in the sum of Rs.25,000/- as directed by the order dated 23.10.2024.

iii. The order dated 23.10.2024 stands modified to the aforesaid extent only. Rest of the order dated 23.10.2024 shall remain as it is.
