As per the judgment dated 16th June 2016, the Applicant was acquitted for the offences punishable under Sections 7, 13(1)(d) read with 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. The State's Appeal against the acquittal is admitted.

There is a house warming ceremony arranged by the daughter of the Applicant at New Hill North Carolina, United States on 4th August 2025. Copy of invitation is annexed to the Application. The Applicant wants permission to travel abroad from 1st July 2025 till 31st December 2025 to U.S.A. The copies of order granting permission for renewal of passport and similar request to travel Ireland was granted on 3 rd October 2022.

Learned APP submitted that to show house warming ceremony, some documents need to be annexed. The ceremony is arranged by the daughter of the Applicant. Earlier, she was granted permission and there is no case put up for misuse for said permission. 5.
I am inclined to allow the prayer. Hence, following order:-
O R D E R
(i) The Application is allowed in terms of prayer clause (a). (ii) The Applicant is permitted to travel U.S.A. for a period of six
(6) months from 1 st July 2025 till 31 st December 2025 .
(iii) After return, she shall report to the Investigating Officer. 6.
