Pursuant to the order dated 19th December 2024 passed in Anticipatory Bail Application No. 68 of 2023 and another connected Interim Application, the Applicant was permitted to deposit an amount of Rs. 3,09,00,000/- before the Registry of

learned Trial Court within a period of four months. 3.

Mr. Wesley Menezes, learned Advocate for the Applicant states that an amount of Rs. 2,00,00,000/- has been deposited pursuant to the said order. He further states that as there was a difficulty in depositing the balance amount of Rs. 1,09,00,000/-, an Interim Application No. 1338 of 2025 was filed before this Court seeking extension of time. By order dated 7th April 2025, time to deposit the said amount was extended by a period of two months. 4.

By the present Application, the Applicant has sought for further extension of four months' time to deposit the balance amount of Rs. 1,09,00,000/-.

Mrs. Mahalaxmi Ganpaty, learned A.P.P. for the State/Respondent submits that the Applicant was required to comply with the orders passed by this Court and to deposit the balance amount within time granted. According to her, there is no justification for seeking further extension.

Ms. Anushree Koparkar, learned Advocate for the Complainant/Intervenor points out to the conduct of Applicant and states that the Applicant is not serious and is taking Court's proceeding for granted. She submits that this Application has been filed only for the purpose of delaying deposit of amount. She therefore objects to grant of extension.

Mr. Wesley Menezes, learned Advocate, on instructions from the Applicant, undertakes to deposit the balance amount of Rs. 1,09,00,000/- before the learned Trial Court within a period of two

months from today. On instructions from the Applicant, he states that no further extension would be sought or applied. The statements made by Mr. Wesley Menezes, learned Advocate, on instructions of the Applicant, are accepted.

In view of the undertaking of the Applicant as recorded hereinabove, this Application is allowed by granting two months' time from today to the Applicant to deposit the balance amount of Rs. 1,09,00,000/- in the Registry of learned Trial Court. 9.

It is clarified that no further extension would be granted to the Applicant.

In view of the above, Interim Application No. 2019 of 2025 stands disposed of.
