The applicant, who is an appellant in above Criminal Appeal No.795 of 2025 which he has filed against the judgment and order dated 30.05.2018 passed by the Additional Sessions Judge, Thane, in Special Case (POCSO) No. 23 Of 2024, by which the learned Additional Sessions Judge has convicted the applicant for the offences punishable under Section 354(d)(1) of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 7 and 8 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and sentenced him to suffer rigorous Pramod S.Lakare 1/2
903-ia-2071-2025.doc imprisonment for three years and to pay fine of Rs.5,000/-, and in default of payment of fine to undergo further simple imprisonment for one month, has submitted an application for issuance of passport vide application No.25-0004987350.

The grievance is due to pendency of the appeal, the concerned Passport Authority is not considering the application submitted by the applicant for issuance of passport. The concerned Passport Authority shall consider the application filed by the applicant for issuance of passport and shall issue the passport if there is no legal impediment.

Liberty is granted to the applicant to file an application for permission to travel abroad if a passport is issued to him. 4.
