By way of this Application, the Applicant seeks extension of time to furnish the surety for a period of four week from the date of Application, i.e., 20th June 2025.

Ms Shraddha Shinde, learned counsel, appears for the Applicant, Ms Manisha Jagtap, learned counsel, appears for the Respondent No.1-Union of India and Ms Poonam P Bhosale, learned APP, represents the Respondent No.2-State. 3.

Paragraph 19(ii) of the order dated 28th April 2025 reads as under:

"ii) Applicant is permitted to furnish provisional cash bail of Rs.25,000/- for his release immediately and file undertaking that he will provide one or two sureties in the like amount of Rs.25,000/- within a period of four weeks after his release which shall be accepted by the Trial Court. Applicant shall provide sureties as directed;"

The Applicant has already furnished cash bail of Rs. 25,000/- and only requires some more time to provide one or two sureties in the like amount. Considering that the Applicant had suffered incarceration for 4 years and 1 month, it will be in the interest of justice if the time granted to him to provide sureties is extended for a period of two weeks.

Application is thus, allowed and the time granted to furnish sureties is extended by a period of two weeks from the date of uploading of this order.
