By way of the present Interim Application, the Applicant seeks directions to call for a detailed medical report of the Applicant from the Superintendent of the Arthur Road Jail as well as doctors from Sir JJ Group of Hospitals where the Applicant was earlier referred by the jail authorities. He further seeks to be released on bail on medical grounds.

Mr. Nitin Sejpal, learned counsel appearing for the Applicant, submits that the authorities of Sir JJ Group of Hospitals have conveyed to the Applicant that the treatment required by him is to be given by the same doctors, who had operated on him earlier.

Ms. Megha Bajoria, learned APP representing the State, on the other hand, submits that the interest of the Applicant will be protected if he is admitted to Sir JJ Group of Hospitals and examined by the doctors of the said Hospital. They may also give an opinion as to whether he needs to be treated by the same doctors, who had conducted his surgery. 4.

It is thus, directed that the Superintendent of the Arthur Road Jail shall admit the Applicant in Sir JJ Group of Hospitals, if so advised by the doctors of the said Hospital after examining the Applicant on 19th September 2025 at 11.00 a.m.

In case, in the opinion of the authorities of Sir JJ Group of Hospitals, it is advisable for the Applicant to be treated by the same doctors, who had treated him earlier, the authorities of Sir JJ Group of Hospitals will submit a report to this Court through the learned APP, within a period of one week from 19th September 2025.
