This Court on 14.01.2020 passed the following order : 1.

Heard the learned Counsel for the Applicant and the learned Special Counsel for Union Territory of Daman and Diu.

The Applicant has made the following prayers.

A) That this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to direct the Registrar, Sessions Court, Daman to take necessary steps for renewal / encashment /reinvestment of the National Saving Certificate /Indira Vikas Patras/ Kisan Vikas Patras / FDR 1/3

Receipts which are subject matter of the present case and more particularly mentioned in Annexures A, B and C (colly) on such terms and conditions as this Hon'ble Court deems fit and proper;

B) For such other order as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper."

The learned Special Counsel for Respondent No.1 has no objection.

The Special Judge at Daman is directed to take all necessary steps to renewal / reinvestment of the National Saving Certificates of Indira Vikas Patras / Kisan Vikas Pratras / FDR, more particularly described in Annexures- A, B and C, initially for a period of 5 years. After compliance with the said directions a report to that effect be submitted to this Court within six weeks.

Application stands disposed of.

The learned counsel for the applicant submits that, in terms of the above order, National Saving Certificates / Indira Vikas Patras / Kisan Vikas Patras / FDRs were renewed / reinvested for 5 years however, the said term has expired now. It is submitted 2/3

that direction be issued to renew / reinvest them for further period.

The concerned Court shall take steps to renew / reinvest National Saving Certificates / Kisan Vikas Patras / FDRs etc., in question for further period of seven years. 4.

The application is disposed of.
