The Applicant seeks an extension of time to furnish a personal bond of Rs.25,000/- with one or more solvent sureties in the like amount, to the satisfaction of the Special Court, as directed by this Court, by its order dated 26th June 2025.

Heard Ms. Neetu Singh, learned counsel for the Applicant and Mr. Kiran Shinde, learned APP, representing the State.

The Applicant is charged with the offences punishable under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 ('IPC') as well as under Sections 4, 8 and 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 ('POCSO Act'). In paragraph 7 of the order, this Court has observed that the circumstances create some doubt about the manner of occurrence, although the Court has refrained from making any conclusive observations in the bail order. The Applicant does not have any criminal antecedents and there is no infraction of any of the bail conditions imposed on him by the said order. Admittedly, the Applicant is a Nepali national but there is nothing on record to indicate that he has attempted to abscond at any time prior to arrest or during investigation. 4.
The difficulty of the Applicant appears to be genuine. In these circumstances, the period of 6 weeks granted to the
Applicant from the date of the bail order, i.e. from 26th June 2025, to furnish P.R. bond of Rs.25,000/-, is extended for a further period of 4 weeks from today.

The other conditions of the bail order remain as it is. 6.
Application is allowed in terms of the aforesaid direction and disposed of.
