Suo Motu Writ Petition No.1 of 2022:
We have perused the details of pending cases. 2.
Mrs. Mankuwar M. Deshmukh, the learned In-charge Public Prosecutor states that she would provide details of all the cases pending in 35 districts within Aurangabad, Nagpur and Bombay regions. The learned In-charge Public Prosecutor further states that details of pending cases within Panaji and Mapusa within North Goa and Madgaon within South Goa as well as Daman and Silvassa within Union Territory of Diu, Daman, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli shall be furnished within four weeks. The learned In-charge Public Prosecutor shall provide all such details of the pending cases in a tabular chart indicating total number of witnesses, number of witnesses examined, stage of the trial and steps taken by the prosecuting agency for
PDP 1-Cri.SMWP-1-2022+.doc ensuring appearance of the accused persons in the trial, where processes could not be served upon the accused persons. The learned In-charge Public Prosecutor shall also furnish the details as to the number of Public Prosecutor/Additional Public Prosecutor assigned the cases relating to Members of Parliament (MPs)/Members of Legislative Assembly (MLAs) in the respective Courts. 3.
