By this Interim Application, the Applicant seeks extension of temporary bail granted to him, vide order dated 6 August 2025, in Criminal Bail Application No.3011 Page No. 1 of 4
Chitra Sonawane 910-IA-3609-2025.doc of 2025 for further period of sixty days or such other period, as this Court deems fit, on medical grounds. 2.
The learned Counsel for the Applicant has invited the attention of this Court to the order dated 6 August 2025, whereby the Applicant was granted temporary bail for a period of sixty days in connection with CR No.75 of 2019, registered at Dattawadi Police Station. It is submitted that the said relief was granted to enable the Applicant to undergo medical treatment for certain serious health conditions.

The learned Counsel submits that the Applicant continues to suffer from multiple chronic and debilitating ailments, including Fistula with abscess, Hypertension and associated complications, which necessitates ongoing pharmacological treatment and further surgical intervention. It is further submitted that the Applicant is a chronic diabetic, and due to his diabetic condition, the postoperative wound has not healed adequately, thereby requiring a repeat surgical procedure.

The learned Counsel further contends that the requisite surgical facility is not available at Sasoon Hospital, Page No. 2 of 4
Chitra Sonawane 910-IA-3609-2025.doc and hence, the Applicant has been admitted to Galaxy Hospital, Pune, where the surgery is scheduled to be performed on 8 October 2025. In support of these submissions, reliance is placed on the medical records and the report tendered by the learned APP, marked as Exhibit 'X'.

The learned APP, upon instructions from the Investigating Officer, confirms the Applicant's admission to Galaxy Hospital and the scheduled date of surgery. It is further submitted that the period required for completion of the medical formalities, including surgery and postoperative recovery, would not exceed thirty days. The learned APP also draws attention to the earlier order dated 6 August 2025, and fairly submits that the Applicant had not misused the liberty granted to him during the previous period of temporary bail.

In view of the foregoing submissions and the medical exigencies demonstrated, this Court finds it appropriate to extend the temporary bail granted to the Applicant vide order dated 6 August 2025 for a further period of thirty days. All other conditions imposed under the said order Page No. 3 of 4
Chitra Sonawane 910-IA-3609-2025.doc dated 6 August 2025 shall continue to remain in force during the extended period. The Interim Application is accordingly allowed and stands disposed of in the above terms.
