We have heard the learned counsel for the Applicant and the learned A.P.P. for the Respondent-State.

The Applicant committed murder of his mother. The evidence indicates that the Applicant and the deceased mother were the only persons present in the room. The door of the room was opened only upon the arrival of the police, whereafter the Applicant was taken out. The mother was found osk 1 of

11-Ia-3662-2025.doc lying in a pool of blood. There is also evidence indicating a quarrel between the Applicant and his mother. The Applicant is found to have assaulted his mother with an axe.
