P.C.:- 1) This is an Application of condonation of delay of 180 days in preferring the Appeal against conviction.

2) Mr. Sathe, learned Advocate appearing for the Applicant submitted that, since the date of his arrest, the Applicant is behind bars. That, for want of legal and financial assistance, the Applicant could not prefer Appeal within the period of limitation. He submitted that, subsequently the Applicant filed an Application for legal aid with the High 1/2

ssm 2 31-ia4161.2025.doc Court Legal Services Committee and thereafter he has been appointed by Appointment Order dated 29th September, 2025. That, after receipt of necessary papers from the High Court Legal Services Committee, immediately he preferred present Appeal, Application for the condonation of delay and Application for bail. In this process the said delay has occured in filing the Appeal.

4) In view of the above, for the reasons stated in the Application and in the interest of justice, delay is condoned and Application is allowed in terms of prayer clause (a).
