None is present for original Writ Petitioner in the Writ Petition. The learned Advocate for the Corporation, submits that this Court had imposed cost of Rs.25,000/- on the Petitioner vide the order dated 14th October, 2025. The Vasai Virar City Municipal Corporation approached the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Special Leave to Appeal (Civil) No.34111 of 2025. By a speaking order SUB
17-SMCPC-15-2025.odt dated 1st December 2025, the SLP was dismissed and Rs.1,00,000/- cost was imposed on the Corporation to be deposited with the Supreme Court Legal Services Committee. 2.
In the light of the above, the Corporation is depositing the amount of Rs.25,000/- as costs imposed by this Court. The Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation Shri. Manoj Kumar Suryavanshi has tendered an Affidavit apology dated 20th December, 2025. It is prayed that the Suo Moto Contempt of Court proceedings may be withdrawn in the light of the above. 3.
The original Apology Affidavit (8 pages) is taken on record and marked as 'X-1' for identification. The Copy of the order passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court dated 1st December, 2025 is taken on record and marked as 'X-2' for identification. 4.
