This Foreign Adoption Petition seeks an order of this Court to appoint Mr.Elia Ferroni, aged 43 years and Mrs.Chiara Frontini, aged avk 1/3
44 years, both Italian nationals as parents of minor male Amol, now in the care of the Petitioner Institution.

When the matter is called out, Ms.Mehta, learned Counsel, appearing for the Petitioner tenders an updated medical report / status of minor Amol along with acceptance by the Prospective Adoptive Parents as well as self declaration of assets and liabilities of the Prospective Adoptive Parents and certification in respect of Famiglia Inseime Onlus, AFAA, under cover of communication dated 3rd April 2025, submitting that the revised health update of the minor can be considered and the minor could be treated as a normal child and not a special needs child. Let the said documents and the covering letter be taken on record.

Let the said reports be shared with all concerned authorities and agencies including CARA and ICSW involved in grant of approvals in this proposed adoption and let the said agencies and authorities furnish an updated report / approval duly notarized / legalized by the next date.

In the event the male minor Amol is considered to be a special needs child as per the further reports, let the AFAA - Famiglia Inseime Onlus, furnish to this Court a further report as well as a report from a Modena / Italian equivalent of a Civil Surgeon in Mumbai, on the following two aspects:- (i) that the prospective parents viz. Mr.Elia Ferroni and Mrs.Chiara Frontini are not only financially and physically suitable, having the time and the resources and wherewithal for Amol's treatment and therapies, to adopt Amol, who is a special needs' child suffering from having a 2.50 mm patent foramen ovale [PFO] in the heart with left to right shunt across PFO and urinary tract infection due to vesicoureteral reflux; and (ii) in the event this adoption is allowed and he is accepted as an Italian citizen, adequate State facilities are available in Modena / Italy for Amol's treatment, care, rehabilitation and dignified life with his attendant condition and special needs.
