This Court has interacted with the Respondent No. 1 alone in the chamber. The Respondent No. 1 has answered all questions put to her. The Respondent No. 1 was completely aware of her surroundings and has replied properly to the questions put to her by this Court, as regards, her relatives, her profession as a teacher, her retirement as well as her recent hospitalization at Hinduja Hospital. The Respondent No. 1 is aged about 80 years and considering her age, she has answered satisfactorily to the questions put to her by this Court. Chavan 1 of

Mr. Pai, learned counsel appearing for the Petitioner submits that the Respondent No. 1 is suffering from dementia which is a serious illness and the son, who is the Respondent No. 2 has isolated the Respondent No. 1. He submits that social interaction is necessary in order to ensure that the Respondent No. 1 recovers. 3.
