We have considered prayer clause (A), which read as under :

(A) That this Hon'ble Court be pleased to issue writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order, or direction in the nature of mandamus under Article 226 of the Constitution of India thereby directing Respondent Nos. 1 and 2 to expeditiously consider and decide the Petitioner's proposal dated 24.04.2025 submitted under Sections 8A and 10 of the Enemy Property Act, 1968, in accordance with the law, within a period of one (1) month or such other period as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit.

The learned Advocate for the Petitioner submits that, since the Petitioner's proposal has been pending for more than a year, a time frame may be granted to Respondent No. 2 to decide the proposal by following the due procedure laid down in law. The learned Advocate for the Union of India submits that a reasonable period of time may be granted.

In view of the above, if there is no legal impediment and if the proposal is yet to be decided, Respondent No. 2 shall follow the due procedure laid down in law and decide the said proposal on its own merits, on or before 30th June, 2026. 4.
