The above Writ Petition was disposed of by order dated 25th August 2025. By the said order, we had directed the Assessing Officer to calculate the interest payable under Section 244A of the Income Tax Act, 1961 and thereafter pay over same to the Petitioner. This was to be done within a period of 4 weeks from 25th August 2025. The matter has thereafter been placed on board from time to time for reporting compliance.
