By this Writ Petition, the Petitioner has sought for directions to the Respondent No.2 to hold an inquiry under Section 161 of the Electricity Act, 2003("hereinafter referred to as "the Act") and prepare its report on the death of the Petitioner's son, who died due to electrocution and a further direction that the report be submitted to the concerned person for taking action in accordance with the provisions of the Act. 2.

The Learned Counsel for the Petitioner has referred to the postmortem report annexed at Annexure-A to the Writ Petition wherein the 1/2

Jayshri Lande 8-WP(L)-1604-2025.doc Medical Officer has opined that the death was on account of Electrocution due to Electric Shock. He has also referred to the Letter dated 14th October 2024 addressed by the Electrical Inspector, Santacruz, Inspection Department, Mumbai to the Senior Police Inspector, Mankhurd Police Station, wherein reference is made to the incident of the Petitioner's son, who is stated to have died due to electrocution which took place on 07th May 2024 at 11.00 a.m. The said letter further states that the investigation of the accident was done by the Electrical Inspector, Inspection Department, Mumbai on 10th July 2024 and that Final Feedback would be given after the Final Post-Mortem Report of the said accident is received by the said Office. 3.

Ms. Kantharia, Learned AGP states that the Final Report dated 10th March 2025 pursuant to the inquiry under Section 161 of the Act has since been prepared and copy of which is available. She tenders a copy of the said Final Report to the Petitioner in Court. The copy of Final Report dated 10th March 2025 is also tendered to this Court and is taken on record and marked Exhibit-"X" for identification.

Accordingly, the prayer sought for in the Writ Petition has been worked out and the Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of. 5.

There shall be no order as to costs.
