The Petition challenges the Award of the Labour Court dated 13 December 2024 passed in Reference (IDA) No.260 of 2022 by which the Petitioner is directed to reinstate the Respondent with continuity of service and full backwages with effect from 1 April 2020. 2.

As the hearing of Petition progressed, the Petitioner and the Respondent No.1 have agreed to settle the dispute upon payment of lumpsum compensation of Rs.6,00,000/-. Respondent No.1 is personally present before the Court. This Court has interviewed the Respondent No.1 who has expressed willingness to settle the disputes on receipt of lumpsum compensation of Rs.6,00,000/-. 3.

It appears that the Petitioner has already deposited amount of Rs.5,00,000/- in this Court. Petitioner shall deposit the balance amount of Rs.1,00,000/- in this Court within a period of two weeks. katkam Page No.

k 2/2 14 wp 2268.25 os.doc Respondent shall be entitled to withdraw the entire deposited amount alongwith accrued interest.

Accordingly, the impugned Award dated 13 December 2024 shall stand modified and the amount withdrawn by Respondent No.1 from this Court shall form lumpsum compensation in lieu of reinstatement and backwages. Beyond lumpsum compensation so withdrawn from the Court, Respondent No.1 shall not be entitled to any other service related benefits from the Petitioner. 5.

Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of.
