The Petitioner claims that the death certificate of Ramdhari Kishun Jaiswar which contains the name of a widow as Gauri, should be changed and Gauri should be replaced with Basmati Devi.

The learned Advocate appearing on behalf of Gauri submits that she was married to Ramdhari in 1992. The learned

Advocate for the Petitioner submits that Basmati Devi married Ramdhari in 1975, when she was 12 years of age. 3.

The learned Advocate for the Corporation submits that such disputed aspects cannot be considered in a representation tendered by the Petitioner on 14th August, 2023. If there is a typographical mistake in the death certificate, such mistake could be corrected. But the person who is shown as a widow, cannot be replaced to include some other lady as the widow. He, therefore, submits that the Corporation would not consider such a representation.

At this stage, the learned Advocate for the Petitioner submits that the Petitioner would file a Civil Suit and would lead oral and documentary evidence to indicate that she was the first women who got married to Ramdhari Kishun Jaiswar. He assures that Gauri will also be arrayed as a Defendant. 5.

In view of the above, this Petition is disposed off as withdrawn, on request of the Petitioner, with liberty to avail of a remedy as is permissible in law.

All contentions of the stakeholders are kept open and the withdrawal of this Petition would not be an impediment for filing a Civil Suit.
