We are reproducing the prayers set out below Paragraph No. 21 of this Petition, though we are inclined to dismiss this Petition. The said prayers are as under: a) That writ of mandamus or writ in the nature of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction thereby, i. Directing Respondent No. 1 University to forthwith constitute the Grievance Committee as per section 79(3) of the Maharashtra Public Unipeties Act, 2016 consisting of eligible members.

ii. Directing Respondent No. 3 Grievance Committee to hear, settle and decide grievances as per the law, as far as may be practicable within three Digitally signed by MANE SONALI DILIP Date:

months from the date of filing of the complaint as provided under section 79(6) of the Maharashtra Public Universities Act, 2016.

iii. Directing Respondent No. 3 Grievance Committee to hear, settle and decide grievances in presence of all the committee members.

iv. Directing Respondent No. 1 University to take disciplinary action against the erring colleges, institutes who are guilty of neglecting to implement or comply with the decisions of the grievance redressal Cell as provided under Statute 2(9) of the uniform statutes 2019.

v. Directing Respondent No. 1 University to forthwith constitute the Grievance Committee as per section 79(3) of the Maharashtra Public Universities Act, 2016 consisting of eligible members.

vi. Directing Respondent No. 3 Grievance Committee to hear, settle and decide grievances as per the law, as far as may be practicable within three months from the date of filing of the complaint as provided under section 79(6) of the Maharashtra Public Universities Act, 2016.

vii. Directing Respondent No. 3 Grievance Committee to hear, settle and decide grievances in presence of all the committee members.

viii. Directing Respondent No. 1 University to take disciplinary action against the erring colleges, institutes who are guilty of neglecting to implement or comply with the decisions of the grievance redressal Cell as provided under Statute 2(9) of the uniform statutes 2019.

b. Pending the hearing and final disposal of above Writ Petition, Respondent no. 3 Grievance Committee be directed to act, perform and function according to section 79 of the Maharashtra Public Universities Act, 2016.

c. For costs.

d. For such further and other reliefs as the nature and circumstances of the case may require.

A single glance at all these prayers indicates that this Petition should not have been filed. All the prayers are based on apprehension and sweeping directions are sought. 3.

Even the Hon'ble Chancellor of the University has been added as Respondent.

The learned Advocate for the Petitioner submits, on instructions, that the Petitioner desires to withdraw this Petition. 5.

In view of the above, this Petition is dismissed as withdrawn, on instructions.
