The Petitioner was a part-time professor at a law college and superannuated on 31.07.2016. The Petitioner has been sending representations to the Joint Director of Higher Education. The first representation is dated 30.09.2011, the second is dated 29.09.2016, and the third one is in the form of a legal notice issued under the signature of an Advocate, dated 25.04.2025.

The Petitioner's grievance is that his pay scale and service benefits have not been calculated by reckoning the 5th and 6th Pay Commissions' recommendations.

The learned AGP submits that if eight weeks' time is granted, all these three representations would be considered strictly in accordance with the procedure and rules applicable, and the decision would be communicated to the Petitioner within 48 hours from the date of the conclusions of Respondent No. 2.

In view of the above, this Writ Petition is disposed off with the following directions:
(a) Let the three representations be decided on or before 10.06.2026;
(b) Needless to state, Respondent No. 2 would issue notices to the Petitioner as well as Respondent No. 4, Management, and commence the hearing on the representations within 15 days;
(c) A reasoned order would be passed after hearing all the stakeholders, on or before 10.06.2026, and a copy of the order would be served upon the Management as well as the Petitioner on their email addresses within 48 hours; ...2
