This Court by an order dated 2nd April 2026 had granted extension of time for the Debts Recovery Appellate Tribunal, Mumbai (DRAT) to dispose of pending Appeal No. 191 of 2012 within 6 weeks from 6th April 2026. This was in the backdrop of an earlier order granting time upto 31st March 2026 for the DRAT to dispose of the appeal.

The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that although hearing before the DRAT has commenced, but due to some issues regarding service upon the concerned parties, the completion of the hearing is likely to take some time. It is submitted in that backdrop, since the extended period of time is expiring on 18th May 2026, this Court may consider granting

In view of the above and on the request of the petitioners, the DRAT is granted extension of time by 8 weeks from 18th May 2026 to dispose of pending Appeal No.191 of 2024. 5.

Praecipe stands disposed of.
