By the present Chamber Order the Applicant seeks permission to serve the citation upon Amita Surendranath Chitnis, daughter of the deceased by way of substituted service. 2.
The Applicant seeks permission to publish the citation in two newspapers viz. "Free Press Journal" in English Language, and in "Navshakti" in vernacular language i.e. Marathi. Perused the affidavit in support dated 18th July 2025. It is stated in the affidavit in support that, in the Will dated 9th June, 2008 the deceased has mentioned that his daughter viz. "Amita" had left home somewhere in the year 1981 and since then there has been no contact between her and deceased and/or any other family members including the Petitioner. The Applicant has further stated that, neither the Petitioner nor any of the other family members of the deceased are aware of the whereabouts of the said Amita and her address is not available. The Applicant therefore, requested to permit to publish the citation by way of substituted service in two newspapers "Free

Press Journal" in English Language, and in "Navshakti" in vernacular language i.e. Marathi.

Perused the para 7 of the petition and averment made in the affidavit. For the reasons stated in the affidavit in support the Chamber Order is allowed. Applicant is directed to publish the citation by way of substituted service by publishing in two newspapers viz. "Free Press Journal" in English Language, and in "Navshakti" in vernacular language i.e. Marathi within four weeks from today. Office is directed to issue fresh Citation, if required. 4.
