PUBLIC INTEREST LITIGATION NO. 25 OF 2025 1.

We have heard learned counsel for the parties on the prayer for interim relief. After hearing learned counsel for the parties, we deem it appropriate to modify the ad-interim order dated 07/08/2024 as follows: (i) Respondent no.3 shall be at liberty to make payment of 50% of the amount to respondents no. 7 to 10 namely Contractors who have already supplied the cotton bags.

(ii) The aforesaid payment shall be subject to the outcome of the writ petition.

(iii) Learned counsel for respondents no. 7 to 10 shall furnish the undertaking after receipt of the amount within one week that they have received the amount subject to further orders which may be passed in the writ petition and shall abide by the outcome of the writ petition.

To the aforesaid extent, ad-interim order dated 07/08/2024 passed by this Court in the writ petition is modified.

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner prays for an adjournment to enable him to engage an advocate to argue the matter. 3.

List after ensuing summer vacation.
