This is a Petition Section 29-A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seeking an extension of mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal, which expired on August 31, 2023.

The parties have evidently participated in the proceedings oblivious to the fact that the mandate of the arbitral tribunal has expired. Today, when the matter is called out, Learned Counsel for the parties jointly submit that this would be the first extension, and jointly request for an extension of April 16, 2025 Shraddha
530-CARBP-125-2025.doc mandate by a period of one year from today, bearing in mind the stage at which the arbitral proceedings are placed.

In these circumstances, taking into account the stage at which the Arbitral proceedings are placed, this Petition is finally disposed of extending the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal for a period of one year i.e. until April 15, 2026 giving full coverage to the activity carried on since August 31, 2023. 4.
