This is a Petition under Section 34 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.

It is stated stated on behalf of the Petitioner that the Arbitrator was appointed on October 4, 2023. Pleadings were completed in the matter on May 22, 2024 and the one-year time frame under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ought to have commenced on that date. In these circumstances, while the extension of mandate is sought, appointment of a substitute arbitrator is also sought. 4.
