Students have approached before this Court stating that as the examination of 11th standard is going to commence from 25th March 2026, a direction be issued to the authorities to permit them to appear in the examination through Respondent No.6-college. 2.
After hearing the parties at length, it was revealed that Respondent No.6-college has provisionally admitted 193 students in the month of October-2025.

Learned AGP during the course of hearing has handed over copy of the order dated 8th December 2025 whereby the State Government has permitted Respondent No.6-college one additional class of science 1 of
Section with intake of 120 students in the college. 4.
It is revealed in the matter that sanction to the additional class is of 8th December 2025, however, the students have been provisionally admitted by the college in the month of October 2025. In the background of this factual position, we have called the Deputy Director of Education, Kolhapur to seek assistance in the matter and verify the correct factual position.

Smt. Prabhavati Kolekar, Deputy Director of Education, Kolhapur Division, Kolhapur accordingly remain present in the Court. She submitted that in the present matter, the college falls under the jurisdiction of Deputy Director of Education, Pune Division, Pune and therefore she is not having detailed information of the matter. 6.
In the facts and circumstances, to resolve the controversy involved in the matter rightly, we direct Smt. Prabhavati Kolekar, Deputy Director of Education, Kolhapur to personally visit Respondent No.6college and conduct an enquiry and prepare a detailed report as to how the admissions were granted by the management to students. Whether students actually attended the college. If they attended the college, then whether there was suicient staf to teach the students was available or not. Whether it is permissible to grant provisional admission to students. Any communication was made to authorities in this regard. And other relevant factors in light of controversy involved 2 of
in the matter by verifying the entire record of the college as well as all other relevant documents and submit the report to this Court on the next date.

Petitioners insisted for grant of interim relief stating that college examination is going to commence tomorrow, i.e., on 25th March 2026. However, after considering the statement made by Smt. Kolekar, Deputy Director of Education, Kolhapur Division, it is revealed that examination for 11th standard are conducted at college level and the same can be conducted by the college later on. Hence, there is no need to pass any interim order in the matter.
