In both these Petitions, the alleged offending structures/ premises are two Cricket Turfs for practicing underarm Cricket and for matches between the competing teams. The Corporation has raised an objection regarding the lack of requisite permissions. The learned Advocate for the Petitioners submits that Applications have
been moved before the Municipal Corporation for granting permissions/regularization.

The learned Advocate appearing on behalf of the Thane Municipal Corporation submits, on instructions, that the pending applications which are on record in both these Petitions, would be considered on their own merits within two weeks. If a hearing is found to be necessary or appropriate in the given facts and circumstances of the case, the Petitioners would be called upon to address the Authorities.

He further submits that the Corporation has initiated steps in the light of the order passed by the PIL Bench dated 03rd July, 2025 in PIL No. 102 of 2023.

In view of the above, we record the statement of the learned Advocate for the Corporation made on instructions and we observe that the applications would be decided on their own merits on or before 21st January, 2026. As directed in an earlier Petition No. 17251 of 2025 vide order dated 22nd December 2025, we record that until the decision of the Corporation Authorities, no
Tournaments / Matches would be organized or held by the Petitioners, except regular practice by the enrolled players. If any adverse order is passed against the Petitioners, the same would not be effected for a period of 15 days to enable the Petitioners to avail of the remedies permissible in law.

Considering the above, both these Petitions are disposed off.
