By this writ petition, the petitioner is seeking direction to respondent No.2 / Caste Scrutiny Committee to decide expeditiously the tribe claim of the petitioner, which was submitted for verification on 21/08/2025.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in immediate need of a caste validity certificate and therefore, prays that the Caste Scrutiny Committee be directed to decide the same within a period of four weeks. Learned counsel further submits that while validating the tribe claims of the petitioner's sister and father, respondent No.2 / Caste Scrutiny Committee had conducted a Vigilance Cell enquiry, which the petitioner is willing to adopt and therefore no fresh Vigilance Cell enquiry is required.

Considering the above submissions, we direct respondent No.2 / Caste Scrutiny Committee to make an endeavour to decide the tribe claim of the petitioner as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of six weeks from today. 5.
