The Petitioner appears to be aggrieved by a public notice issued by Respondent No. 4 - All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) for approval of process for the academic year 2026-27. As per the said public notice the last date for institutions to apply on the AICTE portal for the programmes mentioned at Serial No. 1, with which the Petitioner is concerned, is 12 January 2026. 2.
The learned counsel for the Petitioner has submitted that, without the AICTE having finalized the Perspective Plan for, inter 1/2 Mayur
501-WP-494-2026 (C).doc alia, the programmes mentioned at Serial No. 1 of the said public notice dated 26 November 2025, the Respondent No. 2 - Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, has proceeded to reject the Application of the Petitioner vide order dated 6 January 2026.

Considering that none appears for the Respondent, it would be necessary to hear the AICTE on the rejection of the Petitioner's Application vide order dated 6 January 2026.

Further, AICTE would require to inform this Court as to the finalization of the Perspective Plan and whether, without finalizing the same, directions could have been issued to the institution to apply on AICTE portal for the programmes mentioned in the public notice for approval process for the academic year 2026-2027. 5.
In view thereof, Issue Notice to the Respondents, returnable on 19 January 2026.

In addition to the Court notice, the Petitioner is permitted to serve the respondents by way of private service and file an affidavit of service prior to the next date.
