By this Writ Petition, the petitioner is seeking direction to the respondent/Tribe Scrutiny Committee to decide the tribe claim of petitioner of belonging to 'Thakur' Scheduled Tribe which is pending since 02.04.2025.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that Scrutiny Committee has already conducted a vigilance cell enquiry in respect of his cousin uncle and he is ready to adopt the same and there is no need for conducting fresh vigilance cell enquiry.

Considering the same, we direct the respondent/Tribe Scrutiny Committee to decide the tribe claim of the petitioner as expeditiously as possible and in any case before May 2026.
