DATE : 6th MARCH, 2026
P.C. :- 1.
The learned Senior Advocate for the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation ('MIDC') has shown the Court the original minutes of the Land Allotment Committee's Meeting (LAC Meeting) dated 16th February, 2026. Since these two matters were on board, they have not uploaded their decision. They have only tendered the minutes to the Court in order to impress the Court that each of the four competitors was considered as per the procedure applicable and upon weighing/assessing their comparative merits, a decision has been taken. Consequentially, the Petitioners' applications for a plot to be allotted for expansion in the same industrial area, has been rejected.
2.
The learned Senior Advocate prays that if this Court permits the MIDC to upload the minutes of the meeting, all the competitors would be able to have a look at the details of the minutes. The aggrieved party may then avail of a remedy, as may be permissible in law.
3.
The learned Advocate for the Petitioners submits, on instructions, that since the Petitioners' applications have been turned down, it would prefer a challenge to the said decision.
4.
In view of the above, we permit the MIDC to upload its minutes of the LAC Meeting dated 16th February, 2026, which are shown to the Court (11 Pages), on its portal, within 48 hours. 5.
If the Petitioners are aggrieved by the decision, a remedy as may be permissible in law would be available for the Petitioners.
6.
In view of the above, both these Writ Petitions are disposed off. Needless to state, all the grounds and contentions of the Petitioners are kept open.
7.
The original LAC Meeting of minutes dated 16th February, 2026, are returned to the learned Senior Advocate for the MIDC.
