The petitioner contends that the tribe claim of the petitioner of belonging to 'Koli Mahadev', Scheduled Tribe is pending before Respondent/Scrutiny Committee for its verification since 22.05.2024. 3.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that brother of the petitioner namely, Yogesh Madhav Makalwad has been issued validity by the Hon'ble Apex Court in SLP (C) No.27410 of 2024 as well as father of the petitioner, namely Madhav Jalba Makalwad has been issued validity by this Court in Writ Petition No.14343 of 2023 and therefore there is hardly anything to be considered by Respondent/Scrutiny Committee. Therefore he submits that Respondent/Scrutiny Committee may be directed to decide the tribe claim of the petitioner expeditiously.

Considering the fact that the brother and father of the petitioner Narwade/

930-wp-635-2026.odt have already been issued validities, we direct Respondent/Scrutiny Committee to decide the tribe claim of the petitioner as expeditiously as possible and in any case within a period of eight weeks from today. 5.
