Present petition has been filed for following relief: "B.
By issuing appropriate writ or order or directions in the like nature, the respondent No. 2Collector may kindly be directed to decide the application dated 01.01.2026 before the District Collector, Beed U/section 44(2) of the Maharashtra Nagarparishad, Nagarpanchayat and Township Act, 1965 for disqualification of the President of Nagarparishad within stipulated period."

Learned AGP waives service of notice for Respondents No. 1 and 2 and upon instructions from Respondent No. 2 submits that recently [1]
P1-WP-1099-2026.odt the present petitioner has made amendment and has added some parties to the petition, which is before the Respondent No. 2 under Section 44(2) of Maharashtra Nagarparishad, Nagarpanchayat and Township Act, 1965. Notices will have to be issued to those parties and in fact that application which is before Respondent No. 2 has been filed on 01.01.2026. Therefore, said application would be decided on its own merits within a period of six months from today.

Said submission on behalf of Respondent No. 2 is taken as undertaking and we dispose of the petition by directing Respondent No. 2 to decide the application dated 01.01.2026 within a period of six months from today.
