The principal grievance raised on behalf of the petitioners is for stay of the order of their disqualification under Section 78(A) of the Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Act, 1960. However, since the Administrator has already taken charge, it would be in the fitness of things that the Appellate Authority is directed to decide the appeal expeditiously.

It is informed that the Appellate Authority has fixed the appeal for hearing on 18 March 2026. The Appellate Authority shall, therefore, conclude hearing on 18 March 2026 and shall pronounce the judgment within two weeks from that date, i.e. 18 March 2026.

The writ petition stands disposed of in above terms. No costs.
