By this Writ Petition, the Petitioners have made the following prayer:
"a.
Be pleased to issue appropriate Writ Order or direction thereby issuing necessary directions to Respondent No.4, Chief Executive Oicer, Zilla Parishad Satara, District Satara, to take appropriate immediate steps for ill up the vacant post of Ex-Serviceman as per Government Notiication dated 25.1.2024 issued by the State of Maharashtra General Administrative Department and the direction dated 11.12.2024 & 11.11.2025 issued by the Respondent No.2 herein;"

The grievance raised by the Petitioners is that Respondent No.4Chief Executive Oicer, Zilla Parishad, Satara, has undertaken the recruitment process for Group "C" in the year 2023, and the Arjun 1 of
917-WP-1686-2026.doc Petitioners, who appeared for the examination, have now been placed on the waiting list. According to them, posts in the category of ExServicemen are lying vacant, but the Respondent has not taken any positive steps to ill up the said posts.

In the light of this factual position, Respondent No.4-Chief Executive Oicer, Zilla Parishad, Satara, is directed to take appropriate steps to ill up the vacant posts of Ex-Servicemen, as per the Government Resolution dated 25th January 2024, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, and in any case within a period of 6 weeks.
