Heard Mr. Bhavake, learned counsel for the petitioner, and Mr. Kalel, learned AGP for the respondents-State. 2.

It is the submission of the petitioner that the proposal for transfer of petitioner No. 1 from non-grant-in-aid classes to grant-in-aid classes is pending on the file of the Education Officer (Secondary), Zilla Parishad, Sangli since 23rd September 2025.

It is further submitted that, petitioner before approaching this Court, repeatedly visited to the Education Officer and made request to adn 1 of

40-wp-1708-2026.doc decide the proposal but cognizance of the matter is not taken. As a result, the petitioner remain no option than to approach before this Court. 4.

In light of this factual position, the limited prayer is made by the petitioner to issue directions to the Education Officer to decide the pending proposal. We accordingly direct the Education Officer (Secondary), Zilla Parishad, Sangli to decide the pending proposal dated 23rd September 2025 within a period of six weeks from the date of production of this order.

It is clarified that this Court has not examined the merits of the matter and all contentions on merits are expressly kept open. 6.

The writ petition stands disposed of in the above terms. There shall be no order as to costs.
