Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has made a request to the Enquiry Officer seeking permission to examine himself as a witness. He submits that the said request may be directed to be considered.

In that regard, it is observed that it is for the Enquiry Officer to consider such request in accordance with law. The Enquiry Officer shall be entitled to take an appropriate decision on the said request and pass appropriate orders on its own merits.

With the aforesaid observation, the writ petition stands disposed of.
