By this Writ Petition, the petitioners are seeking expeditious decision of their tribe claims of belonging to 'Koli Mahadev' Scheduled Tribe which is pending with the respondent No.2/Scrutiny Committee since 24.12.2024.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submit that pursuant to the vigilance cell enquiry, the vigilance cell report has already been submitted to the respondent No.2/Scrutiny Committee. He would further submit that, even the petitioners have filed reply to the same and the notice of hearing is now received by the petitioners. He would submit that, now all that remained to be done is to hear the matter and pass the final order.

Learned AGP on the other hand, would submit that by virtue of bifurcation of the Respondent No.2/Scrutiny Committee, it would take sometime to transfer the record from the existing Scrutiny Committee to the Scrutiny Committee to which the petitioners' tribe claim would be transferred.

In that view of the matter, we direct the respondent No.2/Scrutiny Committee to decide the tribe claims of the petitioners as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of four months from today.
