The Writ Petition is filed by the victim as well as her father seeking relief of termination of pregnancy. The victim has filed FIR being C.R. No. 116 of 2026 under Sections 4 and 8 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 and Sections 64(2)(m) and 87 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023. 3.
As the petitioner No.1 is a victim of sexual assault, we direct that the petitioner No.1 be admitted in Sassoon General Hospital, Pune. It is Uday S. Jagtap 1 of
501-1960-2026-CWP=.doc the submission of Ms. Pawar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners that the family of the petitioner No.1 will not be able to afford the expenses of travel.

In these circumstances, we direct that the State of Maharashtra shall bear the expenses of travel of petitioner No.1 and her mother from Solapur to Pune and take steps to get the petitioner No.1 admitted in the Sassoon General Hospital, Pune.

The High Court Legal Services Committee / concerned District Legal Service Authority to appoint two para-legal volunteers at Solapur as also at Pune to assist the petitioner No.1.

The Authorities of Sassoon General Hospital, Pune are directed to constitute a Medical Board, if not constituted earlier, and after examining petitioner No.1 submit a report to this Court whether it is possible to conduct Medical Termination of Pregnancy regarding the petitioner No.1. 7.
