By this Writ Petition, the Petitioner is seeking direction to the Respondent Authorities to immediately initiate the admission process through institutional level round at Petitioner No.2 College, under the control and supervision of Respondent No.4 - Competent Authority. This is to fill up the sanctioned and vacant 53 seats of UG-BHMS Degree course for A.Y. 2025-2026 for all the eligible candidates. 2.
The learned counsel appearing for the Respondent No.4 - State CET Cell have tendered notice No.44 dated 9 February 2026 which had given a schedule for the revised cut-off date of admission to Ayurveda, Homeopathy and Unani undergraduate Courses which was stated to be 15 February 2026 1/3
2 906-WP-2018-2026 (C).doc for the Academic Year 2025-26. The Petitioner was eligible for filling up admissions to Ayurveda, Homeopathy and Unani Education Courses and according to the Petitioner, due to the short span of time, the Petitioner is unable to fill up vacant seats in the said Courses. 3.
The learned counsel appearing for the newly joined Respondent Nos.7 and 8 had issued a communication (Exhibit - E to the Petition) with regard to the revised cut-off date of 15 February 2026 for counselling. It was made clear that counselling shall be held for UG seats which were granted by letter of permission by Medical Assessment & Rating Board for Homeopathy vide letter dated 6 February 2026 and extension was as one time measure granted to the Petitioner. She has stated that the Respondent Nos.7 and 8 requests this Courts for extending the revised cut-off date and pass appropriate orders.

The learned counsel appearing for the Respondent Nos.4 - State CET Cell on instructions states that in the event there is extension of the revised cut-off date for admission for BHMS Courses for A.Y. 2025-26, the schedule would be accordingly modified which will not disturb the process. The statement is accepted.

In view thereof, and upon a query being put to the learned counsel appearing for the Petitioner, he states that the revised cut-off date may be extended by a period of six working days. We, accordingly consider it appropriate to extend the revised cut-off date which had been fixed by 2/3
3 906-WP-2018-2026 (C).doc communication dated 6 April 2026 by Respondent Nos.7 and 8 by a period of six working days i.e. till 24 February 2026 which would now be the revised cut-off date. The Respondent No.4 - State CET Cell shall accordingly issue revised schedule for admission to BHMS Courses in respect of special cell vacancy round for A.Y. 2025-26, by 13 February 2026. 6.
Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of in the above terms. No order as to costs.
