CORAM : MILIND N. JADHAV, & NANDESH S. DESHPANDE, JJ.

DATE : 16th JUNE, 2026.

P. C. :

1.

When the petition is called out, none is present for the petitioner. We have perused the papers. The petition is filed on 07.05.2026 seeking a direction from this Court to the respondent No. 3 to decide the representations filed by the petitioner. There are three representations filed on 20.02.2026, 21.04.2026, and 06.05.2026. The representations are to the effect that private respondent Nos. 5 to 10 should be disqualified from holding the office of Director of respondent No. 4 institution in accordance with the provisions of Section 73 (CA) (1) (i) of the Maharashtra CoShubham 1 of

3-WP-2154-2026 (C).doc operative Societies Act, 1960, read with Rule 58 and Section 41(8) of the Revised Model Bye-laws.

2.

The petition is prima facie misconceived. Filing of such petitions is deprecated by this Court time and again. Even yesterday, we were seized with many such petitions, which we were constrained to dismissed. Though the authority is entitled to reasonable time at its disposal to decide the representations filed before it, it also does not mean that the authority can take an unduly long time. What is seen is that the first representation in the present case was filed in the month of February, followed by another representation in April, and the third representation was filed only one day prior to the filing of the present writ petition. 3.

In that view of the matter, no purpose will be served in keeping the writ petition pending. The writ petition is disposed of, needless to state that the authority before which the representations are pending will decide the same in accordance with law. All contentions of the petitioner are expressly kept open. 4.

The Petition is disposed of as dismissed.
