The petitioner is seeking expeditious disposal of his tribe claim of belonging to 'Thakar' scheduled tribe, which is pending with the respondent No.2 - Scrutiny Committee since 01.12.2025. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is desirous of appearing for the MH-CET 2026, and is in need of validity certificate by the end of June 2026. 3.

Learned AGP submits that, the tribe claim of the petitioner has been transferred to the newly created scrutiny

2 935.WP.2196.26.odt committee No.2 of respondent No.2 - Scrutiny Committee and, therefore, it would take some time to decide the tribe claim of the petitioner.

Be that as it may, considering that fact the petitioner is desirous of appearing for the MH-CET 2026, we direct the respondent No.2 - Scrutiny Committee to decide the tribe claim of the petitioner as expeditiously as possible and preferably by the end of June 2026.
