2.
The petitioners are seeking expeditious disposal of their tribe claims of belonging to 'Thakar' scheduled tribe, pending with the respondent No.2 - Scrutiny Committee since 28.11.2025. Learned counsel for the petitioners submit that the petitioner No.1 is desirous to appear for the MH-CET 2026 and petitioner No.2 is desirous to appear for the JEE - 2026 and are in need of validity certificates by the end of June 2026.
2 936.WP.2197.26.odt 3.
Learned AGP submits that the tribe claims of the petitioners have been transferred to the newly created scrutiny committee No.2 of respondent No.2 - Scrutiny Committee and, therefore, it would take some time to decide the tribe claim of the petitioners.
4.
Be that as it may, considering that fact the petitioners are desirous of appearing in MH-CET 2026 and JEE - 2026 respectively, we direct the respondent No.2 - Scrutiny Committee to decide the tribe claim of the petitioners as expeditiously as possible and preferably by the end of June 2026. With this direction, the writ petition stands disposed of.
