Prima facie, it appears that the Deputy Registrar, by the order dated 8 October 2025, has exceeded the statutory limits of the powers conferred under Section 154B-27 of the Maharashtra Cooperative Societies Act, 1960. The provision is essentially in the nature of an enforcement mechanism. However, by the impugned order, the Deputy Registrar has proceeded to adjudicate substantive disputes between the parties, which is impermissible in law.

In the circumstances, until further orders, any further coercive steps against the petitioner, and the operation of the order dated 8 October 2025 shall remain stayed.
