Though the Petitioners have set out several prayers in this Petition, the learned Advocate for the Petitioners is under instructions to state that the view taken by this Court vide final order dated 17th July, 2025 in Writ Petition No.6765 of 2018 (Suman Sachin Jain and Ors. v/s. The State of Maharashtra and Ors.) and connected matters, be made applicable. The learned Advocate for the Petitioners further submits that this Court has issued certain directions below paragraph no.16 of the said order and all those directions be made applicable to the case of the Petitioners. Since an innocuous prayer is put forth, this Petition is disposed off by recording that the directions set out below paragraph no.16 of the order dated 17th July, 2025 in Suman Sachin Jain (Supra), would be made applicable to the Petitioners. 3.
Since the learned Advocate for the Petitioners points out that these Petitioners have not been paid salary for the last 17 months and they are working without salary, we direct the Joint Director Higher Education, Pune for the Commerce colleges and Joint Director Technical Education, Pune for the Engineering faculties, to hear the Management on the aspect of whether these Petitioners have been paid salary for the last 17 months, within a period of 21 days from today and, if the salaries are not paid, to pass effective orders for payment of salary and arrears, because no employee is supposed to work without payment of salary.
