This matter was heard for some time in the first session. We granted a pass over.

The learned Advocate for the MSEDCL tendered photostat copies of two documents to the Court dated 15th September, 2025 and 1st January, 2026. These two documents are taken on record and marked as 'X-1' and 'X-2' for identification. 3.
The learned Advocate submits that the MSEDCL has not terminated the contract of the Petitioner. However, considering Gauri Gaekwad
214.WP-2641-2026.odt that smart meters are now installed and the activity of physical inspection of electricity meters for recording consumption has decreased/reduced, the quantum of work allotted to the Petitioner under the contract has reduced.

In view of the above, we do not find that this Petition needs to be entertained. If the Petitioner is aggrieved on account of any loss caused to it by MSEDCL, purportedly due to a violation of the contract between the parties, the Petitioner has remedies available in law.

With the above observations, this Petition is disposed off.

Needless to state, if the Petitioner avails of any statutory remedy, the disposal of this Petition would not be an impediment. All contentions of the parties are kept open as we have not touched the merits of the claim of the Petitioner. (ABHAY J. MANTRI, J.) (RAVINDRA V. GHUGE, J.) Gauri Gaekwad
