This petition has been filed for a limited purpose of seeking direction to respondent No.2 Scrutiny Committee to decide the tribe claims of the petitioners of belonging to "Koli Mahadev" Scheduled Tribe, which are pending with the respondent Scrutiny Committee since 30.09.2025 and 29.10.2025 respectively.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that cousin sister namely Yogita Laxman Mantre whose tribe claim was submitted for verification, her vigilance cell report is already on record and the petitioners are ready to adopt the said vigilance cell report.

In that view of the matter, we direct the respondent No.2 Scrutiny Committee to decide the tribe claims of the petitioners as expeditiously as possible and preferably by the end of June 2026, in accordance with law on it's own merits. 5.
