This petition is filed for limited purpose of seeking direction to respondent No.2/SDO to decide application tendered by the petitioner seeking caste certificate in Form 'C' under 'The Maharashtra Scheduled Tribes (Regulation of Issuance and Verification of ) Certificate Rules, 2003 which is pending since 20.02.2026.

Since, an innocuous prayer has been made, we direct the respondent No.2/SDO to decide the application dated 20.02.2026 as expeditiously as possible and in any case within a period of six weeks from today in accordance with law and on its own merits. 4.
